I have had alot of fun these past two weeks teaching Needle Felting if you don't know what needle felting is I will soon be making a Needle Felting 101 video. I am not going to say when because I'm not sure and I don't want anyone to quote me on that. lol.

Anyway point being. I had a great time. I taught six treasures (young people) at coronet last weekend as well as three four adults. I was teaching them the basic steps of needle felting. We all made little dragon heads. It was very fun for everyone.
I was also able to teach a very nice woman this weekend at the hotel we made little people heads. I will hopefully be able to get some pics from her of her needle felting project.

Oertha Corornet Final Round!

I dont have it on my home computer so I can't just upload it to here so check it out it was a good coronet all around!

"I Fell In Love With A Purl"

Jen’s “I Fell In Love With A Purl”

I love a good line.

I Fell In Love With A Purl by Jenifleur is a site I found while parusing the members of ravelry. I found it through a person who had it on there personal web page. I saw the name and as it says I fell in love. I clicked it and found a person who has much talent. I decided to look through not only her web site but also her ravelry stash, projects page her twitter and her two online shops.

I must say I am very excited about her project Aeolian it is a beautiful shawl. It reminds me of the colors my mother dyes.
A snippet of what the front page of her webpage says is this, “We raise Shetland sheep with a few corriedales, llamas, angora goats, chickens, guineas, assorted cats and dogs on the side. I knit, spin and tablet weave. We are the owners of Fleury Sheep and Wool, a fleece processing micro mill.” I hope you will be able to check her and her projects out.

I am very pleased to feature her in my blog.

Another Day at Fiber N' Ice & Ice Caverns

so I'm online once more i have looked at many wonderful things on Etsy so far today and i loved every minute of it. My mother Denise Morrison went into anchorage today to find agitation boards for doing felting especially nuno felting. We were tired after getting back but that didn't mean I could rest I had to get online and start looking at stuff on Etsy.

Today I wanted to feature for one of my first blogs my moms business Fiber N' Ice. http://www.fibernice.etsy.com/ My mom started learning fiber arts 30 years ago and now has been in business for 16 years. Currently she sells a large selection of her yarns through a store in Anchorage, Alaska called The Knitting Grounds www.knittinggrounds.com which is owned by a wonderful lady named Zanab. Denise's yarns are all hand dyed at our shop in Big Lake, Alaska and then sold to people all over our beautiful state. Denise's colors are rich and vibrant and wonderful for all sorts of projects. For now Denise only has a small selection of her yarns online at her etsy site, but says there will soon be more as time goes on. Denise has done a lot around the community she has started knitting groups in the local area, taught classes to those who are interested in knowing the world of fiber arts and if she can't teach it she definitely knows someone who can. Denise can be found at www.twitter.com/fibernice where she talks about the different yarns she is producing every chance she gets, so you will want to follow her to find out whats new and whats cookin!
